Cairns Significant Projects, DTMR QLD

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) appointed Lackon key Lackon personnel in the capacity of Project Director for the Far North District Significant Projects Program, totaling over $1B in value. Our role involved representing the District with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring the progress of the program, ensuring projects were on track, providing commercial and contract leadership across the different contract types, ensuring good governance, and meeting all reporting requirements.

Throughout the delivery period, we received genuine and positive feedback regarding our ability to practically manage and deliver, utilising our extensive contract and construction knowledge, and achieving a financial year-on-year spend of over 95%. This praise also extended to leading and mentoring the project team, enabling the growth and development of the current internal TMR team.

Projects include: Cairns Ring Road, Cairns Western Arterial Road Duplication, Cairns Southern Access Stage 3: Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G), Cairns Southern Access - Stage 4: Kate Street to Aumuller Street, Cairns Southern Access Cycleway.
