Lackon successfully delivered the $481 million Edmonton to Gordonvale (E2G) Project as part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program. This project involved duplicating a 10.5-kilometer stretch of the highway to create a four-lane roadway between Edmonton and Gordonvale.
Serving as Project Director, Lackon oversaw key project activities, including managing complex stakeholder engagements and interfaces. They effectively handled land resumptions and acquisitions, implementing a comprehensive communication strategy to meet the expectations of local landowners, traditional custodians, residents, and other stakeholders. Lackon worked closely with major entities such as Queensland Rail, Energex, and Cairns Regional Council, ensuring smooth development, construction, approvals, and safety-in-design reviews. They managed multiple contractors throughout the project, including awarding the design and construction contract to the John Holland Seymour Whyte AECOM Joint Venture (HSA Group), ensuring the project was completed successfully and in compliance with all preconstruction requirements.
