Community Housing Program

Lackon is currently engaged by the Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council to provide project management services to assist in the delivery of the Community Housing Program involving the design and construction of 15x Class 1 residential dwellings in Umagico, Seisa, Injinoo, New Mapoon and Bamaga) as part of the Forward Remote Capital Program. NPARC has secured funding of $8.3M with the goal to construct the maximum quantity of homes within the budget, with the preparation and planning phase (Stage 1) currently underway, followed by construction (Stage 2) from March 2024 to June 2026.

Lackon is assisting the Council in integrating, coordinating, and managing available resources to successfully deliver all aspects of the program which requires collaborative and proactive engagement with other state government departments, public utility authorities, and adjacent landowners. Additionally, Lackon is also providing Council with necessary information, records, and support to ensure compliance with their obligations under the Funding Agreement.
