Denham Circuit Detention Basin Remediation

Lackon successfully completed a project at the detention basin on Denham Circuit in Willow Vale, providing comprehensive programme and project management services. Following a series of significant rainfall events in late 2020 and early 2021, the basin exhibited signs of deterioration, necessitating renewal. To address this, a geotechnical investigation and options analysis study were conducted, revealing that dispersive soils were the primary cause of the damage, further exacerbated by the heavy rainfall. The project team concluded that stabilising the existing in-situ soils offered a cost-effective solution for the asset owner, which included the implementation of CPESC-certified environmental management plans.
