Lackon provided comprehensive program and project management services for the Deodar Drive Stormwater Upgrade Project, which involved the renewal and enhancement of the underground drainage network along Deodar Drive in Burleigh. This project was crucial for ensuring community safety, minimising the risk of flooding in habitable areas, and fulfilling the objectives outlined in the City Plan and the Stormwater Drainage Management Strategy. In addition to alleviating existing flooding issues within the catchment, the upgraded drainage network needed to integrate seamlessly with the Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 project.
Delivered under a design and construct contract, this extensive project featured the construction of a substantial underground drainage network with pipe diameters reaching up to DN1650 and depths exceeding 6 metres. The successful execution of the project necessitated the timely submission of several critical reports and approvals to the Council, ensuring alignment with the City’s commitments.
