$2 - $20M
City of Gold Coast QLD
Lackon is providing superintendent services to assist COGC with the delivery of the program through 2023 and 2024. Following multiple landslips during the South East Queensland rainfall and flooding in February 2022, 10 sites were identified as part of these works. Our responsibilities include coordinating investigations post-concept design, approvals, preliminaries, planning, procurement, design, construction, delivery, and certification of works. The program involves managing multiple design projects simultaneously, and obtaining all necessary approvals from local and state authorities, including the Department of Environment and Science, Department of Transport and Main Roads and City of Gold Coast.
Funded through the joint Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), the landslip remediation program is set to have a significant positive impact on the community by maintaining the structural integrity of the road embankments, extending infrastructure lifespan, and preserving access to residential properties, while also enhancing road safety and reducing the risk of damage from natural disasters.
