Following the severe flooding from Ex-Tropical Cyclone Jasper, Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council (KASC) faced significant challenges in rebuilding essential infrastructure. To assist in securing the necessary support, KASC engaged Lackon Pty Ltd to guide them through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) process, managed by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA).
With Lackon’s assistance, KASC successfully secured over $60 million in additional funding, surpassing the total funding received in the past five years. This funding will support both immediate recovery efforts and long-term infrastructure rebuilding, helping KASC strengthen its community for the future.
Lackon is proud to have contributed to KASC’s recovery journey and remains committed to helping local councils achieve positive outcomes in times of need.
