Lachlan, William and Busby Streets Intersection Upgrade (Planning Only)

Condobolin, NSW

Nov 2020 - Feb 2023

$2 - $20M

Lachlan Shire Council NSW

Lackon provided Project Management Services for a critical initiative funded through the Restart NSW and Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Grant, aimed at enhancing Transport and Water infrastructure CAPEX projects. As part of this comprehensive programme of works, our team was responsible for superintendency, project management, contractor management, and construction supervision throughout the contract.

This project involved the progression of the Concept and Detailed Design for the intersection of Lachlan, William, and Busby Streets in Condobolin. Our team worked diligently to deliver the Final Detailed Design (Geometric), Cost Estimates (Time & Cost), and Contract documents, facilitating the tender process for the construction of road pavements, drainage lines, and the relocation of utility services.

The intersection serves to balance various conflicting needs, including establishing an entry statement on the southern approach to Condobolin, accommodating up to AB-triple road train movements along a gazetted heavy vehicle route through the town, and ensuring safe pedestrian movements between the High School, the town centre, the adjacent Memorial Park on the Lachlan River, and the Condobolin swimming pool.
