Mount Isa Black Spot Program - Pamela / Deighton / Isa Street

The intersection upgrade at the intersection of Pamela / Deighton / Isa Street was a federally funded project aimed at improving the safety of the road network through the implementation of high-benefit cost-effective engineering outcomes. This project involved planning, design, and construction of a dumbbell-type roundabout, property acquisition, service relocation, and stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery of the upgrade works. The completed installation included a fully functioning single lane for each roundabout with spatial redundancy that allowed for future planned upgrade works.
