Nerathong Bridge Replacement – D&C

Lackon provided Project Management Services for a significant project where Lachlan Shire Council (LSC) sought funding through the Restart NSW and the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Grant to facilitate the delivery of vital transport and water infrastructure CAPEX projects. As part of this comprehensive programme of works, our team at Lackon was responsible for superintendency, project management, contractor management, and construction supervision for the contract.

The project involved the replacement of a 60-year-old, five-span concrete structure over the Nerathong Creek, located south of Condobolin, NSW. The project was executed following a staged delivery approach, which included investigating bridge replacement options for the Nerathong Bridge, procuring design and specialist consultation services for the concept design of the new structure, and subsequently securing a design and construct (D&C) contractor to provide detailed design and construction services for the chosen solution. Following the construction phase, Lackon managed the project closeout and handover process to ensure a seamless transition.
