Surfers Paradise Coach Interchange

Lackon is currently providing Superintendent’s Representative services for the Surfers Paradise Coach Interchange, a $3 million City of Gold Coast roads and transport project located next to Cypress Gardens Carpark in Surfers Paradise. The project will deliver a modern coach interchange to replace the former Surfers Paradise Transit Centre, supporting improved access for interstate and regional coach passengers into the heart of Surfers Paradise.

The new facility includes a 48-metre all-weather shelter, three kerbside bus bays, accessible public toilets, seating, drinking fountains, architectural lighting, CCTV, digital signage, road and footpath upgrades, landscaping, and utility upgrades. The project is being delivered in a constrained, high-traffic tourism precinct, requiring careful coordination of construction impacts, pedestrian access, parking changes, traffic management and stakeholder communication.

As Superintendent’s Representative, Lackon supports the administration and surveillance of the works on behalf of the Superintendent. Our role includes monitoring contractor performance, reviewing construction progress, supporting quality and compliance verification, coordinating site inspections, managing project records, and assisting with communication between the contractor, Superintendent and City of Gold Coast stakeholders.
